Experteer Overview In this Principal Consultant role, you drive system-wide improvements in UK healthcare, leading large-scale transformation across NHS trusts, ICSs, and national bodies. You combine deep NHS operations know-how with delivery expertise to achieve tangible productivity, financial sustainability, and patient-outcome improvements. You work closely with senior stakeholders to translate analysis into actionable change and ensure lasting benefits. The opportunity sits within a collaborative, impact-driven team that shapes national healthcare delivery and performance. Pay / Benefits
- Lead delivery of large-scale NHS transformation programmes Drive operational and financial productivity improvements Oversee Cost Improvement Programmes (CIPs) and efficiency portfolios Coordinate system-wide transformation across ICSs and provider collaboratives Act as trusted adviser to senior NHS stakeholders Engage with Board/Executive level within Trusts and systems Navigate complex stakeholder environments and competing priorities Drive measurable outcomes and ensure benefits realisation Lead and develop project teams; provide direction, coaching and quality assurance Tasks Proven track record leading complex improvement programmes within NHS Experience driving large-scale Cost Improvement and Productivity programmes in a consultancy setting Extensive collaboration across UK healthcare system (Trusts, ICSs, central bodies) Delivering tangible outcomes rather than just recommendations Ability to operate at senior levels, influencing Exec/Board stakeholders Strong problem solving, storytelling, and stakeholder management fundamentals Experience enabling digital, workforce, and capacity optimisation in transformation Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in high-pressure environments Strong partnering with clinical and operational leaders to drive performance improvement Key requirements Health and lifestyle perks accompanying private healthcare 25 days annual leave (plus a bonus half day on Christmas Eve) with option to buy 5 more days Generous pension scheme Community and charity involvement Annual performance-based bonus PA share ownership
