Principal Clinical / Counselling Psychologist

Are you an experienced Psychological Therapist looking to advance your leadership skills? We are seeking a part time Principal Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our team! Working with the Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Locality Lead, you will help deliver high-quality psychological therapy care and support service development, with a particular focus on the Northeast AMHT. As a key member of the team, you will support psychological therapy colleagues and work within the friendly, supportive adult mental health team in Northeast Oxfordshire. You will promote psychologically informed practice by advising AMHT staff on patient care and the contribution of psychological therapies. We offer great CPD and training opportunities and have excellent links with the Oxford Centre for Psychological Health and Oxford Institute for Clinical Psychology Training, which is hosted by the Trust. We actively encourage innovation and research with opportunities for collaborations with the University of Oxford Department of Psychiatry. We also collaborate with Oxford Brookes University, Buckinghamshire New University, and the University of Bath. The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your leadership skillsand shape psychological therapies within the newly integrated Northeast Adult Mental Health Team, part of the North and West Oxfordshire Adult Mental Health Locality. We are seeking an experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist who is committed to improving outcomes for people with long-term mental health needs. We would welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate:

• Experience of leading and managing psychological therapy staff
• Advanced knowledge of a specialist therapeutic approach
• Strong working knowledge of effective, evidence-based treatments
• Sound clinical risk assessment and management skills
• Experience of safeguarding children and adults at risk
• Substantial experience of supervising psychological therapists
