Full Job Description

As a Principal Civil Engineer, you will lead the technical delivery of civil infrastructure projects from concept through to construction. Working collaboratively with clients, local authorities, regulators, utility providers, and multidisciplinary project teams, you'll play a key role in shaping infrastructure solutions that deliver lasting benefits for communities. You'll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered to the highest technical standards, on time and within budget, while supporting the growth and development of junior team members. YOUR IMPACT

  • Lead the technical delivery, design approval, and successful execution of civil infrastructure projects.
  • Influence the development of infrastructure schemes through close collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
  • Deliver innovative highway and drainage infrastructure solutions from concept through detailed design and construction.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to achieve integrated project outcomes.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians, helping to foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and success of our Civil Infrastructure team and wider business.

    MEng or BEng qualified and Chartered Engineer status.
  • Significant experience in highway and drainage infrastructure design.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects from concept through detailed design and construction.
  • Skilled in coordinating multidisciplinary solutions and engaging with clients, regulators, utility companies, and local authorities.
  • Proficient in Civil 3D and MicroDrainage, with utility coordination experience considered advantageous.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including mentoring junior staff and effectively managing project delivery and workflows.
