Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated educator looking to make a real impact on young minds? We are seeking a motivated and inspiring Primary Teacher who specialises in KS1 to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of our children and young people. What you'll be doing:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge children and young people.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that supports children and young people's educational and personal growth.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to ensure student success.
  • Participate in school activities, extracurricular programs, and professional development opportunities.

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • A qualification in SEND education is desirable.
  • Experience in primary teaching, and specialising in KS1
  • Experience of working with children with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate children and young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Hawley Woods School provides a specialist environment and support primarily for autistic children and those needing a similarly adapted approach with small classes of 6-8 pupils within our calm, nurturing setting. Our school caters for children from the age of 7 up to 16 years (Key Stages 2, 3 and 4). We help children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) who may be struggling to keep up with the pace of work, may be losing confidence, or struggling with the overwhelming sensory environment of their mainstream school. We also help children who have been out of education for a period of time, to positively re-engage in an education which takes into account any negative experiences they may have had in schools so far. Hawley Woods School is part of Kedleston Group. We specialise in providing specialist education for children aged 7-19 with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
