Full Job Description
As a Pupil Support Worker, you'll work side-by-side with teachers and pupils to build a calm, nurturing, and positive classroom environment where students can thrive-academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Provide individual and small group support in lessons across a range of subjects
- Help implement tailored educational programmes and behaviour plans
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development, encouraging positive relationships and self-belief
- Prepare learning materials and resources to bring lessons to life
- Accompany pupils and staff on educational visits and enrichment activities
- Occasionally support with transporting pupils (e.g. after detentions or school trips)
- Keep clear records of student progress and wellbeing, contributing to a holistic picture of each learner
Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent) - Has a calm, patient and caring approach-especially in challenging moments
- Can build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff alike
- Has experience working with secondary-age pupils (ideal but not essential)
- Can work as part of a team but is also confident taking initiative
- Driving licence required
