Primary Pupil Support Worker / Teaching Assistant

As a Pupil Support Worker, you'll work side-by-side with teachers and pupils to build a calm, nurturing, and positive classroom environment where students can thrive-academically, socially, and emotionally.

• Provide individual and small group support in lessons across a range of subjects
• Help implement tailored educational programmes and behaviour plans
• Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development, encouraging positive relationships and self-belief
• Prepare learning materials and resources to bring lessons to life
• Accompany pupils and staff on educational visits and enrichment activities
• Occasionally support with transporting pupils (e.g. after detentions or school trips)
• Keep clear records of student progress and wellbeing, contributing to a holistic picture of each learner
  
  Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
• Has a calm, patient and caring approach-especially in challenging moments
• Can build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff alike
• Has experience working with secondary-age pupils (ideal but not essential)
• Can work as part of a team but is also confident taking initiative
• Driving licence required
