Full Job Description
The post holder is a Mental Health & Wellbeing Coach who works alongside the general practice team and a mental health multi-disciplinary team within NN4 PCN. They will work within their professional boundaries to support the mental health and wellbeing of the practice population by providing wellbeing and coaching support and, where appropriately qualified and professionally registered, delivering therapeutic interventions within their own professional scope of practice. They will also provide assistance and advice to other members of the primary healthcare team in managing the mental wellbeing of the practice population. In NN4, some Mental Health & Wellbeing Coaches hold counselling or psychotherapy qualifications. Where this is the case, they may use those skills within their own professional scope of practice and regulatory requirements. Staff whose background is solely in health and wellbeing coaching will work within a non-clinical coaching remit.

Working hours: This post is for 30.5 hours per week, worked across the following days:
- Monday: 9:00am 5:00pm
- Wednesday: 9:00am 5:30pm
- Thursday: 9:00am 5:00pm
- Friday: 9:00am 5:00pm There may be some flexibility in daily start and finish times, and for the right candidate there may also be some flexibility regarding the non-working day. However, the total weekly hours of 30.5 will remain fixed. Place of work: Practices in NN4, a PCN in North Norfolk Acle Medical Partnership, Brundall Medical Partnership, Blofield Surgery, Hoveton & Wroxham Medical Centre, Staithe Surgery, Ludham & Stalham Green Surgery. The anticipated start date is 17 August or as soon as possible thereafter.,
- Support and strengthen primary care and to promote and assist practices to improve quality by working with and on behalf of primary care in Norfolk.
- Help with challenges identified by practices workload, GP recruitment, sharing best practice.
- Recognise the changing nature of primary care and assist to ensure that the right level of service is provided to address the needs of the local population.
- Provide benefit to patients of primary care, the clinicians and administrators who work in it and practice organisations in Norfolk.
- Work within health systems to provide patient care in innovative and solution-focused ways.
