Prevention of Youth Homelessness Coordinator (Job Ref 26-01)


Based at Newton Abbot YES Centre and Teignbridge District Council

Salary - £29,757.00. Permanent Contract - 37 hours per week


To proactively prevent youth homelessness across the Teignbridge area by providing timely information, advice and guidance on housing options to young people, families, and partner agencies. Use a trauma informed youth work approach to building relationships with young people and their families and support shared understanding of the realities of becoming homeless. The role will deliver high-quality youth work interventions that focus on early prevention, supporting young people to remain in, or return to, safe and appropriate accommodation wherever possible. This includes working with families and wider support networks to reduce relationship breakdown and enable sustainable housing pathways.


Knowledge on housing protocols, legislation & housing options would be an advantage, however, training will be given for this specialised post. It\'s a great opportunity to build a career in this sector.
