Full Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable individual to join our team as a Prescription Processor. This is a key operational role supporting the accurate processing of prescriptions, ensuring patient needs are met efficiently and in line with required standards. You will be working as part of a large team in a structured, process-driven environment. Full training will be provided, and you will be supported to build up to expected performance levels within your first three months.,
- Check prescriptions against orders to ensure all details are accurate
- Process and manually endorse prescriptions in line with procedures
- Input and maintain accurate data using internal systems, including NHS PMR
- Process a high volume of prescriptions (up to approximately 800 per day after training)
- Support inbound and outbound calls where required
- Work towards and achieve set KPIs and productivity targets
You will be someone who is comfortable working in a structured environment, takes pride in accuracy, and can maintain focus when completing repetitive tasks. You will be motivated to meet targets and contribute positively to a team environment., Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately at pace - Good IT skills, including confidence using multiple systems and Microsoft Excel
- Previous experience in administration, data entry, or a similar processing role is preferred
- Ability to work in a repetitive, task-focused environment
- Good communication skills for basic customer interaction
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
