Full Job Description

Rainbow Preschool is located in the Myland Community of Colchester. We provide sessional care for children aged between 2 and 4 years old. This is a warm and friendly setting with a dedicated team. The pre-school operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays term time only. We are committed to ensure every staff member is supported in their continuous professional development and their well-being., As the preschool Special needs educational needs Coordinator, you will work with SEN children and their key person to complete and update one plans, ensure that all practitioners in the setting understand their responsibilities to children with SEN and the settings approach to identifying and meeting SEN. advising and supporting colleagues, ensure that parents are closely involved throughout, and liaising with professionals or agencies beyond the setting.

We are looking for a qualified pre-school practitioner who has completed SENCO training and with experience working with SEN children to join our team., You must have sufficient understanding and use of spoken and written English.

  • What we're looking for · Full and relevant Level 2 or3 or Early Years qualification . completed a Certsy course or SENCO equivalent course · Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments · Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) · Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection . strong knowledge and understanding of SEN · Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers and outside agencies Rainbow preschool are committed to safe practice in recruitment and selection that includes consideration of issues regarding child protection, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people. All staff will be expected to complete a DBS check if they are not already on the DBS Update Service and supply us with two previous employment references.
