Pre-assessment Registered Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Registered Nurse to join our Pre-Assessment team at The Horder Centre. In this role, you will deliver high-quality clinical care through patient assessment, pre-admission screening, care planning, and evaluation, ensuring the highest standards of safety and patient experience. • Deliver high-quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Conduct pre-admission screening in line with Horder Centre policies and protocols.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
• Provide clear, appropriate information and support to patients and their families.
• Adhere to and promote infection prevention and control standards.
Education
• Take responsibility for ongoing professional development and maintaining clinical competencies.
• Support, supervise, and mentor junior colleagues.
• Participate in training, meetings, and learning opportunities to enhance practice.
Professional
• Maintain professional accountability in line with the NMC Code.
• Act as a positive ambassador for The Horder Centre and the nursing profession.
• Contribute to a supportive team environment, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Escalate and document incidents, accidents, and complaints appropriately.
• Support efficient use of departmental resources and contribute to service improvement.
• Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and foster strong working relationships across teams and external organisations.
  
  The successful candidate will be a registered healthcare professional with post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting and a commitment to continuous professional development. You will play an active role in supporting colleagues, contributing to a positive learning environment, and upholding the professional standards and values of The Horder Centre. Experience in orthopaedics, pre-assessment, or a mentorship qualification would be advantageous.
