Full Job Description
The post holder is responsible for the assessment, implementation andevaluation of care given to patients within the Preoperative Assessmentservice. The postholder will work closely with other staff from all disciplines to ensure an efficient and effective service is provided to patients. To provide clinical expertise and assist with organisational skills in the efficient running of the Unit. To assist the senior sister with daily management of the unit. To assist with rostering and allocations ensuring area is appropriately staffed demonstrating an awareness of the guidelines and escalation process for staffing shortages, The Pre-Assessment Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing assessments for patients preparing for surgery. The post holder will ensure patients are clinically optimised, informed, and supported throughout their pre-operative pathway. You will work closely with patients, consultants, anaesthetists, and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care.
