Full Job Description

Birmingham Children Trust are looking for a Senior Practitioner in Learning to join their established Learning Academy Team. Our established Academy successfully brings together all learning and development opportunities for family facing workers across the Trust. Its team ethos brings together all learners to create a network of practice and development through support and relationships. The team ensures that all of our colleagues in Birmingham Children's Trust have opportunities to learn, develop and continue their professional growth alongside their day to day role. You will play a key role in supporting the learning and development of practitioners across a range of programmes delivered by the Learning Academy. This includes designing and delivering high-quality, bespoke training tailored to meet identified needs arising from learning needs analysis, team manager requests, and insights from our quality assurance processes. As a valued member of the Learning Academy team, you will take a lead role in strengthening the quality of professional practice for those working with children and families. You will contribute to continuous improvement across the full casework cycle, ensuring that children, young people, and their families receive the highest standard of support and intervention. We have been rated as 'Good' by Ofsted, following a 2023 inspection. This is a fantastic achievement for Birmingham Children's Trust, with many positive highlights focusing on areas including the quality of staff leadership, partnership working, safeguarding and corporate parenting. This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham so you must have the correct right-to-work documents to work in the UK. Sadly, we do not support those who require sponsorship. About You
- Qualified Social Worker.
Experience of delivery of training and providing learning support - Know what good social work practice looks like to quality assure, support and guide others.
- Strong organisation and time managements skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience in using communication aids.
- A compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
- Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers, a range of professionals and stakeholders.
