Practice Nurse - College Road Surgery

College Road Surgery is looking to employ a motivated and enthusiastic Practice Nurse (PN) to join our busy but friendly medical practice. This is on a permanent contact, part-time basis working 26 - 30 hours per week., The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing the care of patients with long-term conditions and contributing to preventative and proactive health strategies. This varied and rewarding role includes;

• Providing evidence-based care to patients with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes).
• Delivering wound care, cervical screening, immunisations and phlebotomy.
• Supporting health promotion initiatives and travel medicine.
• Conducting patient assessments and managing treatment plans.
• Liaising with the multidisciplinary team to support patient wellbeing.
• Ensuring compliance with infection control and safeguarding standards.
• Should also be able to follow instructions and procedures, have good communication skills including listening, organisation skills and also observational skills.
  
  College Road Surgery is a well-liked and respected primary care practice operating in the Kingstanding area of Birmingham. The practice has a patient population of approximately 11100 patients. College Road Surgery has 6 GP partners, 2 salaried GPs, 2 practice nurses, 1 diabetic specialist nurse, two healthcare assistants and a large team of reception/administration providing a range of services and high standards of patient care.
