Practice Nurse across our Huddersfield surgeries

All our surgeries in Huddersfield are undergoing a period of transition and we are currently developing smarter ways of working which includes reorganising teams to embrace and encourage talent. If you are enthusiastic about change, then we want you to join our team. We are looking for a friendly and vibrant General Practice Nurse to join our well-established nursing team. You will be NMC registered and will share in the usual distribution of work across our nurse team.,

• Chronic Disease Management/Long Term Conditions within the clinic setting
• Health Promotion
• To collaborate with and enable clients and other members of the primary health care
• Cervical cytology & teaching breast awareness
• Treatment of minor injuries
• LES/DES/QOF related clinical and administrative work
• Routine immunisations / Childhood immunisations
• Travel health advice and vaccinations
• Menopause and HRT consultations
• Smoking Cessation
• Flu, Pneumococcal, Shingles and Pertussis in Pregnancy vaccinations
• Assisting GPs with minor surgery and coil fittings
• Requesting pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs
• Any other delegated duties appropriate to the post
