Practice Nurse

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at The Grove Road Practice in Sutton This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Practice Nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a busy NHS GP surgery. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will work as part of our multidisciplinary primary care team, providing a range of nursing services to our patients. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Routine treatment room duties
• Health checks and long-term condition reviews
• Management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, COPD and asthma (preferable but not essential)
• Immunisations and vaccinations
• Cervical screening
• Wound care and dressings
• ECGs and other clinical procedures
• Supporting health promotion and preventative care
• Providing appropriate patient education and lifestyle advice
• Working collaboratively with GPs, healthcare assistants, pharmacists and the wider practice team
  
  Holds current NMC registration
• Has experience working in general practice/primary care
• Has excellent clinical and communication skills
• Is committed to providing safe, compassionate and high-quality patient care
• Can work independently while also being an effective member of a team
• Has a professional, approachable and positive attitude
• Is organised and able to manage a varied workload, Holds current NMC registration

Person Specification Qualifications Essential
• Holds current NMC registration.
• Has experience working in general practice/primary care
Desirable
• Practice Nurse experience is preferred, although we would welcome applications from nurses with relevant transferable experience and a keen interest in developing their career in primary care.
