We are seeking a Practice Nurse to undertake treatment room duties including wound care, ear care, cervical smears, immunisations and vaccinations, NHS Health Checks/primary prevention of cardiovascular disease, as well as long-term conditions management. Primary Care experience is desirable however, opportunities for career progression and all training and development will be made available to the successful candidate., Now is a really exciting time to join General Practice Nursing, the role has grown and developed and many of our team are becoming clinical specialists in their areas of interest. General Practice Nursing includes (but is not limited to):

• long-term conditions management (Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Atrial Fibrillation, Hypertension, Heart Failure)
• family planning & women's health including cervical smears and contraception
• minor illness assessment and advice
• treatment room duties such as blood tests, electrocardiograms, ear syringing, injections
• complex wound management including leg ulcers
• travel health advice and vaccinations
• child immunisations and advice
• working with health inequalities, patients with homelessness, addiction, mental health, dementia and/or learning disabilities
