Practice Manager

We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and experienced Practice Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy and rapidly growing GP Practice.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership, organisational and communication skills who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and supporting an effective, patient-focused primary care service.

The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for the operational management of the Practice, providing effective leadership and support to both clinical and non-clinical teams, ensuring high standards of patient care, staff wellbeing, clinical governance, regulatory compliance and continuous service improvement.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the continued growth, development and success of our Practice., Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management and effective operation of the Practice, providing leadership across clinical and administrative teams. Oversee staffing, rotas, leave, absence and resources to maintain safe, consistent services, working with colleagues responsible for daily coordination. Lead recruitment, induction, development, appraisals and performance management, fostering a positive, accountable and supportive culture.

Develop and review policies, procedures and operational systems to improve efficiency, patient access and service quality. Lead governance and regulatory compliance, including CQC inspection readiness, audits, risk assessments, significant events and quality improvement. Work with clinical leads on safeguarding, infection control, information governance and health and safety, ensuring actions are followed through.

Oversee patient feedback, concerns and complaints, ensuring timely responses and learning. Collaborate with GP Partners and teams to improve patient experience and deliver Practice objectives. Monitor NHS contractual requirements and performance, liaise with the ICB, PCN and other stakeholders, and support new services and the Practice's long-term development to meet changing patient needs.

Our multidisciplinary Practice team comprises General Practitioners, an Advanced Nurse Clinician, a Clinical Pharmacist, Practice Nurses, a Healthcare Assistant, and dedicated Administration and Reception personnel.
