Full Job Description
At Turning Point, we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilling and independent life. We're looking for an experienced and values-driven Practice Improvement Lead to provide operational leadership across our new Southwark residential services, during an exciting period of service development, mobilisation, and growth.
This is a unique opportunity to lead meaningful change, shape service delivery, and ensure people receive high-quality, person-centred support that enables them to thrive within their communities.
Candidates will need to work flexibly across our Southampton Way Service, and other localities as and when required.
This is a fixed-term role for 6 months.
About the Role
As Practice Improvement Lead, you will provide visible and hands-on leadership, supporting the continued development at Southampton Way while supporting the successful mobilisation and establishment of our DCP service.
Working closely with operational teams, commissioners, local partners, and colleagues across Turning Point, you'll drive service improvement, embed best practice, and ensure services are fully aligned with our values, quality standards, and commitment to outstanding care.
You will play a critical role in building confident, capable teams, fostering a positive culture, and ensuring services are safe, effective, and sustainable for the future.
The Role
As a visible and hands-on leader, you'll drive service improvement, support cultural development, and help create high-performing teams that deliver outstanding outcomes for the people we support. You'll lead service readiness and mobilisation activities, oversee quality and governance, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure both services are sustainable and embedded within their local communities.
Key responsibilities include:
· Leading operational delivery and service development at Southampton Way and across both services.
· Supporting the mobilisation of Southampton Way and successful launch of the DCP service.
· Developing, coaching, and empowering managers and colleagues.
· Embedding best practice, continuous improvement, and a positive values-led culture.
· Ensuring compliance with regulatory, contractual, and quality standards.
· Building effective partnerships with commissioners, healthcare professionals, local authorities, families, and community organisations.
· Supporting workforce planning, service performance, and operational sustainability.
We're looking for an inspiring leader with significant experience within health and social care services who thrives in a changing environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
You'll have:
· Proven operational leadership experience within health, social care, supported living, residential, or community services.
· Experience of service mobilisation, transformation, or change management.
· A track record of developing high-performing teams and leaders.
· Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
· Experience managing performance, resources, and budgets.
· NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care is desirable.
Why Join Us?
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping two important services, creating positive change, and improving outcomes for people with learning disabilities and/or autism. If you're a compassionate, values-driven leader who is passionate about service excellence and continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you.
As a leading health and social care provider with more than 300 locations across England, we take real pride in the services we offer.
We run all of our services on a not-for-profit basis; instead, we invest every penny back into our services and people. We never stop believing in change for the better, and we work constantly to improve the lives of the people we support.
What Benefits Will I Receive?
We know reward looks different to each person and so whether its ways to make your money go further, a culture supporting recognition and celebration, or opportunities to boost your career - we want to support you in every way we can with our total reward package.
You will get 32 days' paid holiday a year, increasing with each year of service up to 34 days. Plus the option to buy additional holidays and spread the cost.
Salary £40,633 based on 37 hours (Inclusive of ILW £3,633)
