Practice Educator

We are looking for an experienced enthusiastic & dedicated emergency Nurse to ensure staff develop a patient-centered approach that provides clinically effective and safe care.

This is a great opportunity to lead the way training is delivered to new and existing staff, whilst working in partnership with the wider team and other practice educators to improve practice, clinical nursing and service delivery.

The department is classified as a trauma unit and we are supported by specialty services such as; critical care, acute medicine, specialist surgery and paediatric specialists. We have a purpose built helipad onsite.

We have a new, state of the art staff facility for staff changing with access to a shower as well as a new staff room and education room.

The department has its own staff retreat for quiet / reflection and the department supports time out in here.

The department also runs wellbeing initiatives and supports staff wellbeing.

You will provide education and training for nursing staff within the emergency department, Urgent Care and Minor Injury Units and support learners on placement within the Trust. You will provide classroom teaching to support staff development, and work alongside staff in clinical practice to aid their progress.
