Full Job Description
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Scientist position in the group of Dr Sean Munro at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) on a programme aimed at investigating the organisation of the Golgi apparatus. Specifically, to undertake research to investigate the mechanism by which Golgi resident enzymes are retained in the Golgi apparatus.
Applicants should have a PhD in a relevant subject or be due to complete a PhD within 6 months. Experience and skills required for the role include the culture and transfection of mammalian cell lines, generating plasmids for protein expression, and advanced light microscopy methods. Particularly useful would be experience of working on membrane trafficking.
