Full Job Description

Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences (NDCN). FMRIB Centre, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, OX3 9DU
The post will be based within the Oxford Centre for Integrative Neuroimaging (OxCIN), reporting to Profs Saad Jbabdi and Karla Miller. Our group develops, validates and applies novel MRI techniques for basic and clinical neuroscience.
This project involves the development of machine learning methods for mapping the relationships between multimodal MRI (e.g. diffusion MRI, relaxometry) and microscopy (including phase-sensitive OCT, light sheet, spatial transcriptomics, and immunohistochemistry) in the same tissue samples. The postholder will use datasets from a Wellcome-funded Biomedical imaging project (PI Jason Lerch) and a large NIH-funded project based in the US (PI Sarah Heilbroner) to develop methods for jointly analysing MRI and microscopy data.
The post holder will be expected to take an independent and proactive role in managing the research process, maintaining the collaboration with partners, and generating new research opportunities.
Please see the below 'Job Description' for further details on the role, responsibilities, and selection criteria, as well as further information about the university and how to apply.
For any queries regarding visa sponsorship, HR and the University's Staff Immigration Team will provide advice and assistance when the chosen candidate for the role has been identified.
This post is full time, fixed term until 31st August 2028 in the first instance.
