Full Job Description
The Fellow will undertake independent research on Pakistan, publish high-quality outputs, present research at conferences and seminars, organise research events, contribute to teaching in Global and Area Studies and South Asian Studies, supervise MSc dissertations, and contribute to the wider intellectual life of OSGA.
You will hold (or be close to completing) a relevant doctorate by the start date, awarded no earlier than five years before 1 January 2026. You will demonstrate excellent research, publication and communication skills, together with a commitment to postgraduate teaching and supervision. You will have
- Independent research experience.
- High-quality publications or clear publication potential.
- Teaching and supervision experience.
- Experience organising seminars or conferences.
- Collaborative and inclusive approach.

The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a start date of 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter., 38 days' annual leave (inclusive of public holidays). - Generous family leave and pension scheme.
