Full Job Description
The Qing Laboratory at Oxford is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join a NERC-funded Pushing the Frontiers of Environmental Science programme focused on advancing nanopore technologies for the real-time detection of biogenic volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
This project sits at the interface of chemistry and environmental science, developing end-to-end chemical workflows for nanopore-based VOC analysis in collaboration with environmental scientists. The work aims to apply cutting-edge molecular sensing approaches to ecosystem monitoring and environmental diagnostics.
We are looking for candidates with a PhD (or near completion) in chemistry, chemical biology, environmental chemistry, or a related field, with a strong background in molecular sciences-particularly organic or physical chemistry-and an interest in interdisciplinary research. Experience in areas such as covalent or supramolecular chemistry, or single-molecule biophysics, would be advantageous.
