Full Job Description
The Department of Biology is seeking to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work under the supervision of Dr Laura Moody. The post is funded by the Royal Society for one year, and the work will be conducted in the 3D growth group in The Life and Mind Building, South Parks Road, Oxford, OX1 3EL. The post holder will become a member of the 3D growth group and contribute to their ongoing research programme, which aims to unravel the complex mechanisms underpinning 3-dimensional growth in plants.
The successful applicant will hold a relevant PhD, together with experience in molecular plant biology. Ideally, they will also have previous experience working with Physcomitrium patens. Experience with confocal microscopy and/or quantitative image analysis is also essential. The successful applicant will possess excellent communication skills, be able to represent the group at both national and international meetings and possess previous experience of supervision of project students in the laboratory environment.
