Full Job Description
Are you passionate about pushing the boundaries of protein science? We are seeking a talented and driven postdoctoral researcher to join a BBSRC-funded project in Single Molecule Proteomics. This ambitious initiative is led by Professor Justin Benesch and brings together a multidisciplinary team from the Universities of Oxford, Liverpool, and Cambridge. About the Project This collaborative effort aims to revolutionize how we identify proteins and their modifications-especially phosphorylation, which plays a critical role in regulating protein function but remains elusive with current technologies. We're developing a novel platform to uncover the hidden dynamics of proteins in health and disease. Your Role As a postdoc on this project, you'll be part of a dynamic team working at the intersection of computational biology, molecular biophysics, and cutting-edge analytical technologies. You'll contribute to the development and application of computational methods to understand protein folding, structure, and interactions.
- Strong expertise in protein structure prediction
- Proficiency in nativeMS, and Orbitrap CDMS
- Advanced programming skills, particularly in Python and GPU oriented programming using CUDA.
- Experience with computational approaches to protein folding welcome.
- A solid foundation in molecular biology
- Experience with heterogeneous protein systems.
