Full Job Description
To support the research and knowledge transfer activities of Dr Noemi Procopio in the School of Law and Policing. The main research interests of Dr Noemi Procopio includes the application of omics disciplines to forensic topics. The post holder will undertake research activities including laboratory work and bioinformatic data analyses on omics data (proteomics, metabolomics, and metabarcoding) under the direction of Dr Noemi Procopio.
The ideal candidate will have recent experience in academic or professional research settings, particularly in laboratory work and literature reviews. A PhD (or submitted thesis) in Forensic Microbiology or Forensic Omics is required. They should demonstrate strong skills in independent and collaborative research, effective communication, and project organisation. Experience working with external partners, a team-oriented mindset, high self-motivation, and a willingness to travel are essential.
