The Role Location: Maidenhead Pay: £108 per day Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:45pm (term time only) Start Dates: September 2026 Interviews & Trial Days: September This specialist SEMH school supports pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, often shaped by life experiences such as trauma, adversity, or community challenges. • Build trusting, consistent relationships with young people, helping them feel heard, valued, and supported
• Encourage emotional literacy and self-awareness through mentoring and restorative conversations
• Support pupils in developing resilience, self-regulation, and positive decision-making skills
• Work 1:1 and in small groups, delivering intervention programmes that promote pro-social behaviour and personal growth
• Celebrate progress, no matter how small, and help pupils recognise their own strengths
• Collaborate with staff to create a safe, nurturing environment where every pupil can thrive
• Support community safety work, helping young people make positive choices and avoid risks such as exploitation or peer pressure
This role is a stepping stone into careers in Forensic Psychology, Youth Justice, Social Work, Counselling, Probation, and Mental Health Services.
