Positive Behaviour Analyst

To work in partnership with schools and families to support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes. To provide a qualified highly specialist community service to CYP with a SEND need. To provide specialist assessment and intervention using Applied Behaviour Analysis and Positive Behaviour Support in collaboration with colleagues as appropriate. To undertake assessments, as appropriate, related to difficulties within the MHST remit, to determine the needs of the CYP. To provide training and workshops to schools, parents and staff groups. To function as an effective member of the multi-disciplinary MHST To work independently according to a plan agreed with the MHST Operational Lead and Clinical Lead and within the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures. To provide clinical supervision and line management to other MHST colleagues as appropriate. To establish effective and mutually respectful working relationships with care providers on the CYP's pathway including Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services, Child Development Centres, Social Care and Education. To undertake clinically related administration, conduct audits and research projects, collect and analyse service data, develop databases, and to participate in teaching and project work. To actively contribute to the development of the service. We are seeking to appoint a Positive Behavioural Analyst who can work flexibly and are committed to the success and delivery of the service.The post is full time; however, part time hours, flexible working, and job share opportunities will be considered. The post is based in Sandridge Gate, St Albans with regular planned travel across Hertfordshire and West Essex. This role requires you to drive across Hertfordshire and West Essex. You must hold a full valid driving license, and access to a car to use regularly for business purposes is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).,

The ideal candidate will be:
• Board certified or working towards - UKBA(certified) and regulated by the UK-SBA's register
• Able to deliver short term interventions to parents
• Able to plan and lead workshops and therapeutic groups
• Work in partnership with schools
• Provide training and support to schools
• Provide clinical supervision to Band 5 staff
• Provide learning and development opportunities for the whole team
• Offer a consultation service to other MHST's
• Assess and manage risk and safeguarding
• Able to establish and maintain effective inter-agency and inter-team communication
• To provide specialist assessment, intervention, advice and consultation on CYP's care to colleagues, professionals from other agencies and to other non-professional carers.
• Able to maintain a high degree of professionalism when working in settings where there is a highly emotive atmosphere.
