Full Job Description
Surrey & Sussex NHS Healthcare Trust wishes to appoint a full-time portfolio Pathway Anaesthesia Fellow. This is a fixed term 18 month appointment at ESH followed by 18 month appointment at St Georges from August 2026
The successful candidates will join a team of 40 Consultants, 6 SAS Grades, up to 24 Trainees, 3 Acute Pain Nurses and 4 administrative staff. The department is friendly, engaged and provides excellent training. You would be expected to work flexibly through the week with commitment to the on-call rota.
This post will provide 40 hours per week of flexible working in theatres, as a part of the trainee on call rota which rolls over an 8 week period. The successful candidates will be encouraged to take part in departmental teaching, clinical governance and research/QI activities.
We provide emergency and non-emergency services to the residents of East Surrey, North-East West Sussex, and South Croydon, including the major towns of Crawley, Horsham, Reigate and Redhill; a community of over 780,000 people. We provide acute and complex services and a range of outpatient, diagnostic services whilst Crawley Hospital and Horsham in West Sussex and Caterham Dene Hospital and Oxted Health Centre in Surrey provide less complex planned services.
