Full Job Description
As a Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting patients, staff and visitors, ensuring a safe, efficient and welcoming environment. You will be part of a busy team responsible for a range of portering and security duties., Reporting into the Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Provide portering and security services -- including the safe removal and disposal of waste, and the movement of equipment, documentation and specimens across the site.
- Work in full compliance with Health & Safety, Infection Prevention, Security and all Trust policies and procedures at all times.
- Support patients, staff and visitors in a polite, helpful and co-operative manner, maintaining a professional approach in all interactions.
- Work flexibly as part of a team, adapting to service needs and responding to requests promptly and safely.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written - Teamworking ability and a flexible approach
- Ability to follow instructions and work under direction
- A pleasant, professional and co-operative manner when dealing with patients, staff and visitors
- Willingness to undertake accredited HAC training in medical gases
- Willingness to complete Level 3 Maybo (or equivalent) restraint training
