Hourly Rate: £16.70 (Inclusive of 15% shift allowance) 
Shift Pattern: Monday–Friday, rotating weekly
Shifts: 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00
Contract: Temporary 

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Polisher to join a specialist automotive manufacturing business in Pontypool.

The RoleAs a Polisher, you will be responsible for correcting and finishing painted automotive components to a high standard, ensuring products meet the required quality and aesthetic expectations.

Your duties will include:

• Using machine-operated polishers to rectify paint defects
  
  
• Hand polishing and finishing where required
  
  
• Preparing surfaces and correcting paint defects and contamination
  
  
• Identifying and resolving surface imperfections
  
  
• Working closely with the paint department to rectify defects
  
  
• Following established production processes and build instructions
  
  
• Completing quality checks and ensuring high standards are maintained
  
  
• Maintaining good housekeeping and hygiene standards
  
  
• Working to production deadlines and targets
  
  
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and product quality
  
  

• Previous experience in machine polishing, vehicle detailing or automotive finishing
  
  
• Experience correcting surface defects and paint contamination
  
  
• An understanding of paint finishes and paint thickness
  
  
• Experience with external paint detailing and surface finishing
  
  
• Excellent attention to detail
  
  
• The ability to work to strict deadlines and production targets
  
  
• A proactive and positive approach to work
  
  
• Good communication and teamwork skills
  
  
• The ability to follow SOPs and established processes
  
  

• £14.52 per hour
  
  
• 15% shift allowance paid on top
  
  
• Monday–Friday rotating weekly shifts
  
  
• Week 1: 06:00–14:00
  
  
• Week 2: 14:00–22:00
