Full Job Description

Experience in evidence-based policy development on issues related to employment rights and/or labour markets

Ability in writing in a compelling and accessible style whether it is a blog for the TUC's website or a detailed response to a government consultation

Confident skills in evaluating and communicating a range of data sources from legal material to quantitative data

Fixed term 18-month contract, 35 hours a week. Happy to talk about flexible working.

Location - Congress House, Great Russell Street, London WC1B 3LS. TUC's flexible work policy applies, which allows working from home up to five days per fortnight.

The TUC is looking for a policy lead to contribute to our work on employment rights and wider labour market policy.

This position has been created to boost the TUC's policy capacity at a time of significant shifts in the UK labour market. The role will support our response to both new legislation and a rapidly changing economy.

It will suit someone who is as comfortable analysing draft regulations as they are writing a briefing for our General Secretary and who has a strong commitment to delivering better outcomes for working people.
