Full Job Description

  • Work with the team that manages UK rules for how companies are run (corporate governance).
  • Help improve company rules by studying reports and getting evidence.
  • Check how well companies follow the Stewardship Code, which guides how investors manage money responsibly.
  • Talk to people outside the team, like businesses and government workers.
  • Key Tasks
  • Look closely at how UK companies and investors write their reports.
  • Write parts of big yearly reports about company rules and investor practices.
  • Help check new companies applying to follow the Stewardship Code.
  • Support rules for big private companies (called Wates Principles).
  • Read research and prepare notes for senior team members.
  • Help and guide junior team members with their work.
  • Go to meetings with senior workers and talk to outside groups.
  • Work with others on projects that improve company rules.

    Know how UK company rules and stewardship work.
  • Experience with corporate governance, stewardship, or making policies.
  • Good at using Microsoft apps and new technology.
  • Can build good relationships with others.
  • Write and speak clearly about complex topics.
  • Able to explain analysis simply and accurately.
  • Can find important trends and suggest good ideas.
  • Manage workload and meet deadlines.
  • Lead and support junior team members.
  • Work well in a changing environment and with mixed teams.
