Join our New Hope Substance Misuse Recovery Service as a Police, Prison and Probation Liaison Worker helping to improve outcomes for our residents. This is a fixed-term contract, or secondment opportunity for internal staff, until 31st March 2029. About you… As a Police, Prison and Probation Liaison Worker, you will support individuals involved in the criminal justice system, providing structured interventions, harm reduction and recovery-focused support. You will collaborate with the police, prison and probation services to facilitate pathways into treatment and long-term recovery. You will have a strong understanding of drug and alcohol misuse, its links to offending behaviour and a proven track record of working effectively with this client group. • Conduct assessments of individuals (triage, comprehensive) in criminal justice settings such as courts, police stations, probation and prisons.
• Perform risk assessments and create risk management plans based on organisational and local protocols.
• Increase the number of individuals on Offender Management (IOM) in treatment to reduce re-offending and harm within Bracknell Forest.
• Re-engage service users who miss appointments (DNA).
• Provide harm reduction interventions, including alcohol advice, brief interventions and Naloxone when needed, while developing initial support plans for service users.
