Full Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic newly qualified or recently qualified podiatrist within their first year of practice to join our friendly and supportive podiatry team. This is an excellent developmental role designed to support early-career podiatrists in building their clinical skills within a structured and supportive environment.
Dependant on successful completion of a structured competency framework, there will be the opportunity to progress into a Band 6 Podiatrist role within 6 to 12 months.
At Your Healthcare CIC, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our staff. All employees have access to a protected Continuing Professional Development (CPD) budget, which staff can apply for to support further training, courses, and professional learning opportunities.
This is a permanentpost and is for 37.5 hours per week. The usual working hours are 08.30 am to 17.00 pm and will be Monday Friday.
You will be mostly based at Surbiton Health centre although you will also need to be able to travel to our other sites as needed., The podiatry service operates across several community clinic locations; however, the successful candidate will work primarily from Surbiton Health Centre. This modern clinic hosts a five-chair podiatry clinic, creating a busy and collaborative clinical environment.
Working within this setting means you will never be working alone. There are always experienced podiatrists and senior clinicians available within the clinic to provide clinical advice, support, and mentorship when needed. This makes the role particularly suitable for new graduates or early-career podiatrists, as it provides daily opportunities for learning, case discussion, and development of clinical confidence.
As part of the induction into this role, the successful candidate will have a funded training opportunity of up to the value of £800 to allow them to complete The Foot in Diabetes Module provided by the Royal College of Podiatry. This training supports the development of knowledge and clinical skills in the management of patients with diabetes and high-risk foot conditions.
As part of ongoing professional development within Your Healthcare CIC, there may also be opportunities for the successful candidate to gain experience working within the organisations private podiatry services. Your Podiatry offers a range of new treatment technologies including Lunula Laser Therapy and Swift Microwave Therapy offering a unique experience to the successful applicant.
