Duties & Responsibilities Associated with this role include but are not limited to:
- Providing a comprehensive service to include all aspects of planned, routine and reactive maintenance
- The repair and maintenance of a wide rangeof mechanical services and equipment on site
- Fault finding and diagnosis
- Routine inspections to ensure our estate is safe and fullycompliant
- Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of Health & Safety and other relevant legislation
- You will be required to participate as a member of the On-Call Team providing an emergency out of hours service on a rotational basis
Norfolk & Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) are looking for a skilled Plumber/Heating Engineer to join our existing multi-disciplinary professional maintenance team in providing a safe environment for all service users, staff and visitors across our Suffolk & Norfolk sites. Being based in Lowestoft The successful candidate would be flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and confident in being part of a teamthat provides a comprehensive maintenance service in a unique varied environment and ideally Gas Safe Registered, however this is not essential as we will support and provide relevant training for the right person., - Ability to work at height using ladders/ scaffolding, access platforms and in confined spaces, Two years experience having demonstrated high technical verstility and flexability, Experience of working in a mental health or secure services hospital environment, Recognised and registered CITB or EITB minimum three year apprenticeship in plumbing/mechanical engineering AND/OR City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering Parts 1, 2 & 3 or Plumbing NVQ 1, 2 & 3 OR BTEC, ONC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Full UK driving licence for ability to drive Trust vehicles, BTEC, ONC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Accredited Certificate Scheme (ACS) Gas Qualified
