smoothly while delivering an exceptional customer experience.As a Plumber within our Hard FM Services team, you'll be responsible for delivering planned, reactive and compliance-related maintenance activities across the University estate.If you're a qualified plumber who takes pride in quality workmanship, enjoys solving problems and wants to be part of a supportive team that values Service Spirit, Team Spirit and Spirit of Progress, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll Do:Carry out planned preventative maintenance on plumbing and mechanical systemsDiagnose and repair plumbing faults quickly and effectivelyMaintain and repair hot and cold-water systems, sanitaryware, pipework, pumps, valves, taps and showersRespond to emergency leaks, blockages, water outages and breakdownsSupport water hygiene and Legionella compliance programmesComplete plumbing upgrades, replacements and minor installation projectsUpdate maintenance activities accurately using CAFM systems such as MaximoWork
professionally within occupied student residences and academic facilitiesParticipate in an on-call rota supporting a 24/7 operationSupport sustainability and water-efficiency initiatives across the estateWhat You Bring:EssentialNVQ Level 3 Plumbing & Heating, City & Guilds Level 3 Plumbing, or an equivalent recognised qualificationWater Regulations qualification or demonstrable equivalent competenceFull UK Driving LicenceExperience working in a planned and reactive maintenance environmentStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skills with the ability to resolve issues efficientlyExperience maintaining hot and cold-water systems, sanitaryware and associated distribution systemsExcellent communication and customer service skillsGood IT literacy and experience using CAFM or maintenance management systemsThe ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider facilities management teamDesirableUnvented Hot Water qualificationLegionella and Water Hygiene
