Full Job Description
CBRE GWS is recruiting a Plumber to join the Hard Services team based at the Broughton / Chester site. The role is responsible for carrying out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance, installation, testing, and fault-finding activities across site water services and associated mechanical systems, ensuring full statutory compliance and continuity of critical services. This is a night shift role., · Carry out general preventive maintenance, repair, testing, installation, and fault diagnosis on plumbing and mechanical systems across the facility.
· Repair, install, replace, test, and troubleshoot water supply and distribution systems, including pipework, valves, fixtures, and outlets.
· Install new water pipework and fixtures in accordance with drawings, specifications, and applicable statutory and industry standards.
· Maintain waste and vent systems using appropriate methods such as rodding, jetting, and mechanical clearing tools.
· Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks in line with site maintenance schedules and service level agreements.
· Complete plumbing safety inspections, including backflow prevention devices where appropriately certified.
· Provide technical plumbing support to other engineering team members and assist contractors during installations or specialist works.
· Act as a technical resource, offering guidance and basic training to colleagues carrying out light plumbing tasks safely.
· Respond promptly and effectively to plumbing-related emergency situations, escalating where required to maintain site safety and operation.
· Accurately complete job reports, compliance documentation, and maintenance records using CBRE systems.
· Undertake other general building services duties within competence as directed by site management.
Health, Safety & Compliance
· Work in full compliance with CBRE and client health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
· Ensure all plumbing works meet statutory requirements and approved codes of practice.
· Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and orderly condition.
· Time-served or NVQ Level 2/3 (or equivalent) in Plumbing.
· Proven experience working in a commercial, industrial, or manufacturing environment.
· Sound working knowledge of water distribution, waste systems, valves, and associated plant.
· Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications.
· Experience working within a facilities management or hard services environment is desirable.
· Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
