Full Job Description
This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.
We pay an attractive salary of £14.13 per hour and offer access to training and development opportunities. Caerphilly County Borough Council is looking for enthusiastic Playworkers to help deliver high-quality, open-access and inclusive play sessions for children aged 5-14 across the borough. This rewarding role focuses on creating safe, welcoming and stimulating environments where children are encouraged to explore, be creative and lead their own play. Working as part of a supportive team, Playworkers promote children's right to play, support positive social interaction and independence, and contribute to a healthy and secure play setting through effective safeguarding and risk-benefit approaches. Sessions take place in a variety of community locations, including outdoor parks, community centres and school sites, helping to ensure accessible and meaningful play opportunities for all children. For the role, we ask that you have:
- A relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
- Proven experience of working with children.
- Full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence and the use of a motor vehicle insured for business / work purposes to travel throughout the borough to attend meetings and run play opportunities. We have excellent benefits including an Employee Assistance Programme and staff Discount Schemes.
Caerphilly County Borough Council does not receive applications submitted via the StudySmarter website. All applications must be submitted through our official Council website.
