Full Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and child-centered Play Therapist to support children affected by crime. This role is part-time from our Chandlers Ford office where a dedicated playroom is available. There may be occasions for you to deliver play therapy from other venues across Hampshire., As a Play Therapist you will assess the suitability of children and young people for play therapy and provide the therapeutic interventions to them in line with PTUK or BAPT ethical guidelines. You will need:
- to hold an accredited qualification as a Play Therapist from BAPT or PTUK.
- experience of working with children within a play therapy environment
- experience of using monitoring tools to record outcomes of play therapy
- to be able to manage your time effectively
- effective communication skills with both children and the adults who support them
- be fluent in computer literacy This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement.
