If so, we'd love to hear from you.We're recruiting a Plant Supervisor (Readymix) to lead operations at our Chesterton Concrete Plant in Stoke-on-Trent. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced supervisor to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the Readymix plant, ensuring safety, quality, customer service and operational performance remain at the highest level. This is a highly visible role where you will lead from the front,
manage plant performance, support your team and help deliver a first-class service to customers.While experience within the Readymix or aggregates sector would be beneficial, we are equally keen to hear from candidates with supervisory experience gained in other heavy industrial, manufacturing or production environments. Full product and industry training will be provided.What You'll Be DoingAs Plant Supervisor you will lead and supervise all daily Readymix plant operations whilst building positive relationships with customers, contractors and colleagues. This will include:Managing daily production activities, stock control and operational costsEnsuring efficient concrete production while maintaining quality standardsCreating and maintaining a strong safety culture across siteManaging site compliance with company procedures and relevant legislationDelivering toolbox talks and supervising contractorsMonitoring and improving plant performance through KPIsResolving operational and

customer-related queriesMaintaining excellent housekeeping and site standardsSupporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operationManaging site budgets, including both fixed and variable costsWhat We're Looking ForIdeally you will be an effective Supervisor with experience gained within a manufacturing, production or heavy industrial environment who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys balancing people leadership, production, customer service and continuous improvement. Suitable candidates will also have:Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standardsExperience working with risk assessments and safe systems of workGood operational and production process knowledgeStrong people leadership and communication skills with proven ability to motivate teams and drive performanceProactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvementConfidence to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changeExcellent organisational and time management
