Experteer Overview As Plant Engineer (Electrical) in the Hot Rolled Products team, you will support the Section Engineer by coordinating engineering activities and upholding standards to boost manufacturing performance. You will design and drive a cost-effective preventative maintenance regime aligned with the Works Area strategy, helping to meet the Annual Plan. You'll lead fault analysis and ensure compliance with engineering standards, spares, contractors, and budgets. This role offers an opportunity to influence reliability and safety in a high-volume plant. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver tangible improvements. Pay / Benefits

  • Coordinate the area's engineering activities and implement maintenance standards Develop and execute a preventative maintenance regime aligned with the works area strategy Support failure analysis processes and drive continuous improvement Manage spares, contractors, and budget related to engineering activities Ensure all engineering tasks comply with established standards and procedures Tasks Extensive experience in fast-paced heavy industrial manufacturing Minimum HNC qualification (ideally HND/Degree level) Electrical engineering background with CI, preventative maintenance, maintenance planning, fault response, and contractor liaison Knowledge of AC/DC drives, up to 11kV distribution networks, PLCs (GEM 80 / Siemens S7 / Allen-Bradley) Electrical fault finding and repair, reading circuitry schematics, 18th Edition wiring regs Compliance topics: DSEAR, PUWER, COSHH, RA/SWP Strong communication and organisational skills; computer literate; capable of working with limited supervision under pressure Key requirements market competitive salary 35 days holidays per annum Quarterly Bonus Scheme Private Healthcare Scheme Pension scheme (10% employer contribution / 6% employee contribution) Free onsite parking
