Full Job Description
Shape the future of care through insight, strategy and impact. Working as part of Velindre University NHS Trust's Corporate Strategy, Planning and Performance Team, the Planning and Performance Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality planning and performance management across the organisation. You will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring robust planning processes and effective performance frameworks are in place. Working collaboratively across the Trust, you will support services to deliver against organisational priorities, improve outcomes and achieve the highest standards of care. This is an exciting opportunity to influence decision-making at a senior level, using insight, analysis and strong partnership working to drive delivery of the Trust's objectives., As the Planning and Performance Manager you will be required to take a flexible and innovative approach combined with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills to ensure that the planning, performance and strategic responsibilities for VUNHST are met. You will be expected to:
- Have a focus on corporate planning, ensuring alignment with national policy and local needs
- Be responsible for the accurate reporting of performance to internal and external partners
- Be a key liaison between the corporate Strategy, Planning and Performance Team and VUNHST divisional teams and external partners
- Support the VUNHST divisions in driving transformation, as well as value for money in planning, commissioning and service delivery
- Work alongside the divisions to develop processes to allow for consistent and accurate information collection to inform future planning, service improvement and service re-design
- Play an active role in regional and national service developments, working with Health Boards and wider partners
