As a Planner (Assurance) at Kier, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of the M6 Lune Gorge project. Working as part of an integrated planning team, you will provide detailed planning assurance, develop robust programmes, monitor progress, identify schedule risks and support the successful execution of complex construction works. What will you be responsible for?
As a Planner (Assurance), you'll be working within the M6 Lune Gorge team, supporting them in the successful delivery of complex construction works. Your day to day will include:
-Developing and maintaining detailed weekly and medium-term project schedules, ensuring clear alignment with project milestones and delivery objectives
-Using Aphex to an advanced level to produce logic-linked, resource informed and fully sequenced delivery plans, identifying dependencies, constraints and critical activities
-Applying structures knowledge to review and challenge the buildability, sequencing and programme logic associated with bridges, structural repairs and related civil engineering activities
-Collaborating with Operational and Commercial teams to align programme forecasts, obtain accurate progress information and support reliable forecasting
-Supporting programme assurance reviews and the QSRA process, identifying schedule risks and opportunities and recommending practical mitigation measures
What are we looking for?
This role of Planner (Assurance) is perfect for someone who:
-Has planning experience on major highways, civil engineering or infrastructure projects, ideally working within an NEC4 contract environment
-Understands structures construction, construction sequencing, temporary works, design interfaces and technical approval processes
-Has advanced knowledge of Aphex and can develop, review and assure detailed construction plans and programmes
-Is highly proficient in Primavera P6, with the ability to create, manage and analyse complex project schedules and critical path programmes
-Communicates effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and can provide clear, evidence-based recommendations while working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
