Pig Stockperson

At Wold Farms Ltd, a subsidiary of Cranswick, we are a leading player in the UK's agricultural sector, breeding and rearing pigs to RSPCA Assured standards., · Feeding, moving and handling the pigs

· Loading and unload pigs as required by the unit's production system

· Ensuring that animal welfare is in accordance with Company policies (Red Tractor Assured Standards)

· Ensuring that the five freedoms in respect of animal welfare are followed

· Adhering to Company Codes of Practice and Policies at all times

· Ensuring that all Feed Systems/Water systems and all other equipment is in good working order and fixing faults and report any defects immediately to your Line Manager

· Reporting any site damage immediately to the Line Manager

· Understanding the importance of biosecurity and security of the unit

· Ensuring that the unit is always kept clean and tidy and presentable to visitors with regular pressure washing being essential

· Where applicable, ensuring all buildings and compounds are secured out of working hours

· Experience with livestock or an agricultural background would be advantageous, but not essential

· Ability to prioritise and complete tasks fully with strong attention to detail is a must

· Self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic, and strive to go above and beyond expectations
