Pig Stockperson

At Wold Farms Ltd, a subsidiary of Cranswick, we are a leading player in the UK's agricultural sector, breeding and rearing pigs to RSPCA Assured standards.,

• Feeding, moving and handling the pigs
• Loading and unload pigs as required by the unit's production system
• Ensuring that animal welfare is in accordance with Company policies (Red Tractor Assured Standards)
• Ensuring that the five freedoms in respect of animal welfare are followed
• Always Adhering to Company Codes of Practice and Policies
• Ensuring that all Feed Systems/Water systems and all other equipment is in good working order and fixing faults and report any defects immediately to your Line Manager
• Reporting any site damage immediately to the Line Manager
• Understanding the importance of biosecurity and security of the unit
• Ensuring that the unit is always kept clean and tidy and presentable to visitors with regular pressure washing being essential
• Where applicable, ensuring all buildings and compounds are secured out of working hours
  
  Experience with livestock or an agricultural background is preferred
• Ability to prioritise and complete tasks with strong attention to detail
• Self-motivation and a good work ethic
• Less experienced candidates to be open-minded and dedicated to learning the role responsibilities
