Physiotherapy assistant

To be a Physiotherapy assistant working to assist the Physiotherapist in the therapeutic management of patients for the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust Hospital (RBFT). Under supervision to facilitate and participate in ongoing patient treatment. To work effectively as a team member in carrying out, under direction, exercise and mobility programmes. To participate in providing a high quality, effective and efficient physiotherapy service. Under supervision of a Physiotherapist, provide a range of activities, instructing and guiding patients, individually or in groups, to support them in achieving identified goals and promoting independence. To undertake delegated tasks to contribute to the safe and smooth running of the service, including clerical and housekeeping tasks., Please refer to the attached Job Description and Person Specification for further details of the job role.

• Education to GCSE level including English and Maths.
• IT skills, including Email
• Some knowledge of physiotherapy, Previous experience of health or social care setting
• Experience of working with members of the public
• Some understanding of hospital working
