Are you ready to make a difference?We'dlove to hear from you! Main duties of the job This is a senior physiotherapist post requiring significant post graduate experience. The post holder will be responsible for rapid response, advanced assessment & treatment of complex and /or chronic presentations and will provide highly specialist advice for patients within the hospital and community setting and teaching and training to therapy colleagues working in other clinical areas, and members of the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will be responsible for supervision and training of other therapy staff including rotational band 5 staff, Therapy assistants and students. The post holder will also undertake a co-ordinating role in the delivery of the therapy service within their specific clinical area on a day-to-day basis and this will include the provision of a 7-day therapy service in our clinical specialities, Please refer to the job description for full details of the main duties and responsibilities that the post holder is required to undertake. Person Specification Physical Skills Essential
- Basic IT/keyboard skills
Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy - HCPC registered
- Clinical education training Knowledge and Training Essential
- Significant post qualification experience in clinical area relevant to post
- Evidence of post graduate training in specialist clinical area
- Have an understanding of developments within the NHS and the Trust, and their implication on Physiotherapy
- Knowledge of evidence based practice Desirable
- Other responsibilities e.g. HASAW rep, trade union rep/steward Experience Essential
- Clinical experience at band 5 in core areas of respiratory, musculoskeletal, neurology and orthopaedics Communication & Relationship Skills Essential
- Demonstrates the ability to teach, guide and direct therapy assistants and students in clinical practice
- Flexible working to meet the need of the service
- Able to delegate appropriately
