Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust have an exciting opportunity for skilled and motivated Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist to join our dynamic outpatient MSK service. In this role, you will provide skilled assessment and treatment for a wide range of MSK presentations, supporting early intervention and helping patients access the right care at the right time. Working closely with senior clinicians, you will contribute to the development and evaluation of this innovative pilot model, helping shape how rapid access MSK services could look in the future. Alongside your clinical caseload, you will take part in service development activities, assist with audits and quality improvement projects. You will also provide support, guidance, and supervision to junior colleagues and students as part of a supportive and collaborative team. We are looking for a proactive, reflective clinician with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent patient-centred care. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your MSK expertise, gain experience in service innovation, and be part of a team committed to improving local access to physiotherapy. 37.5 hours per week. Our service has bases in Tenbury, Malvern, Evesham and Bromsgrove and there will be an expectation of flexible working across the county to support service delivery to ensure continuity of care and equitable access for patients across all MSK clinic locations.Main duties of the job The role involves the assessment and delivery of physiotherapy interventions for adults across Worcestershire, working within a busy outpatient department based in a local community hospital. You will assess, treat, and manage a varied MSK caseload, with referrals received from GPs, acute services in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, and self-referrals. This caseload will include patients with acute conditions such as fractures and post-operative presentations, as well as those with longer-term MSK conditions including low back pain, osteoarthritis, and tendinopathies. You will be expected, when clinically appropriate, to refer on to other services such as Advanced Practice Physiotherapy, MDT pathways, strength classes, and the Functional Restoration Service. You will engage fully in supervision with senior team members and participate in our scheduled professional activity programme. We expect the postholder to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care supported by evidence-based practice. You will also have opportunities to contribute to service development, support the teaching and supervision of colleagues and students, and play a role in shaping future service provision.
