Physiotherapist

This post is offered permanent, full time basis, working 37.5 hours per week, working Monday to Friday 8/8.30am - 4/4.30pm., This role works across our hospice services, including the Inpatient Unit, Community settings and the Wellbeing Centre, supporting patients to maintain comfort, function and quality of life. We are seeking a confident communicator and leader to work with the team ensuring care is delivered safely, compassionately and to a consistently high standard. Senior Physiotherapy role brings:

• High standards of holistic and individualised patient care, embracing the hospice's vision and values
• Assess, plan and implement a wide range of interventions
• Plan, deliver and evaluate physiotherapyled exercise and education groups within the Wellbeing Centre
• Monitor, evaluate and modify treatment in order to measure progress and ensure effectiveness of interventions
  
  Please note, the successful candidate will be an essential car user, therefore candidates must have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

• Minimum of 2 years post registration experience
• Experience of working with palliative care, oncology, neurology, community or care of the elderly patients.
• Sound knowledge and application of physiotherapy assessments and interventions
• Ability to plan, implement and evaluate care
• Good communication skills, both oral and written
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Organisation skills: to organise self and workload
• IT skills and a willingness to undertake supportive training to use Electronic medical notes, Teams.
• Ability to supervise, students and volunteers.
• Knowledge of clinical governance and its application
• Ability to mentor junior team members/ teaching skills
• Ability to motivate others
• Ability to operate in a multi-disciplinary environment
• Ability to demonstrate awareness of hospice and national developments related to practice

• Specialist palliative care experience
• Formal presentation and teaching skills
• Supervisory and appraisal skills
• Equipment assessment and provision experience
